Car

Cars that work in the lowlands and are possibly quite old already break down very often during their first winter season. Batteries don't work as well at -25┬░, old winter tyres don't have enough grip and so many instructors are surprised when living through the first real winterseason with their cars. Also cars need a lot more fuel when used for short distances and the fuel is very expensive in the mountains as well. It's generally much easier if you can use public transport or go to work on foot or by bike. Winter sport resorts are normally quite small and the life is limited to quite a small radius. Remember to sign off your car for the winter season, that's another way to save some money. Getting to work late due to a car break-down or for any other reason isn't an option in this business with respect to your clients and your schools reputation.
