Have you completed the highest possible qualification in your country? Do you have the ISIA level?

Foreign education in the off-piste area (level Variants & Tours and additional module RiskG) are not recognised, except the mountain guide education.

 

The cost of the application is Fr. 90.00.

Lateral recognition

Based on the documents submitted, you will receive feedback on how your qualification is classified.

 

The licence (provided the membership fee has been paid) is issued on the basis of the basic licence. The rights and obligations of the basic licence apply, as well as those of the classification according to the SSBS and Switzerland.

 

The WK (Refresher Course) obligation must be ensured for both licences. If the basic licence expires, the Based On certificate from the SSBS is also no longer valid.

 

There are no further education possibilities

 

With your Based On licence you can teach in Switzerland. However, off-piste instruction is not possible.

Lateral Entry

Based on the documents submitted, you will receive feedback on how your qualification is classified. In order to continue the qualification, you must successfully complete the theory exam of the previous module.

 

For example: We inform you that you can continue the qualification with the technique module, this requires a successful theory examination of the methodology module.

 

The licence (if membership fee paid) will be issued based on the passed theory exam. E.g. ME module.

 

WK (Refresher Course) are compulsory every 2 years (at least every 4 years at the SSBS).

 

Further education opportunities available

 

With the full qualification, the risk activity permit can be applied for. In the area of snowboarding, it is also possible to become a Swiss Federal Snow Sports Instructor with FA.

Based on the documents submitted, you will receive feedback on how your qualification is classified. This helps you, for example, in wage negotiations with your snow sports school.
